A Case of Sturge-Weber Syndrome



Abstract
Sturge-Weber syndrome consists of facial portwine nevus, convulsion, intracranial calcification and some degree of mental retardation and hemiplegia.
The authors observed a five year old boy with Sturge-Weber Syndrome. He noticed portwine nevus on the face, trunk and extremities, mental retardation and left hemiplegia. At 45 days of age he had a seizure. X-ray film of skull showed calcification on the right frontal and parietal area. EEG findings were suggestive diffuse organic lesion in the brain.
